The Royale Kerala Food is more than a restaurant it is a celebration of heritage, family, and the rich culinary traditions of Kerala.

Our family’s story began generations ago when Mr. Karunakaran Nair, originally from Mahe, Kerala, journeyed to Malaysia in search of a better future. He worked in the tea plantations, carrying with him the traditions, values, and authentic flavours of his homeland. His courage and determination laid the foundation for future generations while preserving the family’s proud Malayalee identity.

His legacy was continued by his son, Mr. Jaedas Karon, who instilled in his family a deep appreciation for Kerala’s culture, hospitality, and cuisine. Today, his grandson, Mr. Johnathan Antonio Ryce, proudly represents the third generation of this remarkable journey.

At the heart of The Royale Kerala Ipoh are its founders and partners, Mr. Johnathan Antonio Ryce and Mr. Vineesh Soman Nair.

Mr. Johnathan Antonio Ryce, a young Malaysian entrepreneur and a graduate with a Degree in Marine Logistics, chose to pursue his passion instead of following a conventional career in his field of study. Inspired by his family’s rich heritage and generations of cherished recipes, he envisioned a restaurant where guests could experience the authentic flavours and warm hospitality of Kerala.

Mr. Vineesh Soman Nair, who hails from Kannur District, Kerala, holds a Degree in Airport Logistics. Although his professional career also led him into different industries, his love for Kerala’s cuisine and cultural traditions remained strong. Together with Mr. Johnathan Antonio Ryce, he transformed their shared vision into reality by establishing The Royale Kerala Food.

United by heritage, family values, and a passion for authentic Kerala cuisine, they created a restaurant dedicated to preserving and sharing the true flavours of Kerala with the people of Malaysia. Their signature Mini Sadhya, served on a traditional banana leaf with 16 carefully prepared dishes, reflects Kerala’s spirit of generosity, celebration, and hospitality.

Every meal served at The Royale Kerala Food is a tribute to three generations of heritage, perseverance, and family tradition. From our ancestral roots in Mahe and Kannur, Kerala, to our home in Ipoh, Malaysia, we remain committed to preserving the authentic flavours, warm hospitality, and timeless culinary traditions of Kerala for generations to come.
